I'm Movin' Out...

It's move day! And they walked in our garage exclaiming "Aye Dios Mio!" I guess we didn't organize the garage too well...whatever. It's their job to pack it, right? The rest of the house is in tip top condition for moving though--we have sticky notes on everything (Storage, Mom, London, Keep Here). Hell, we've been working on this crap for weeks!---okay, maybe a week, but still it's totally organized. So now Mike's got me stationed downstairs and he's upstairs...I get the better deal--plasma TV and my new love, my MacBook! It's a little uncomfortable to sit here and watch the guys packing your stuff up since you are basically watching them to make sure they do it right, but what else am I supposed to do, just leave? I told Mike I was going to go out shopping and make him handle it...LOL! That went over like a fart in church! OKay, that's all for now, I have to go watch Mike the mover pack some dishes!

It's Not Goodbye, It's See Ya Later!

What a long, tough, emotionally draining weekend it has been. First Friday was my last day of work at Toyota. While it was a very nice day, a nice trip on a cruise around Manhattan, it was tough b/c it's the only place I've ever really worked...unless you count the short stint I spent as Dr. Farish's flunkee at Rowan, but I don't think professional dog walker counts on the resume'. Anyway, some of the people have known me for 10 years or more, so it was really like saying goodbye to my family...THEN, we went to our going away party at Willie McBrides...sadly my camera didn't work, OR I was a too tipsy to make it work---yeah, sometimes the "On" button is a challenge for me. Anyway, I'm posting one pic that Leila took--Thanks! Saturday was a day w/ sis and the boys...The toughest goodbye to date...I'm really going to miss those little buggers! Today we said goodbye to Mike's family, and it's just going to keep going on! The only thing that's keeping me sane is that I'll be home ALOT, well I guess it's a lot...Thanksgiving, Christmas, Sis's Bday, Matty's Graduation...hey PreK is a big step! So it's not goodbye it's "See Ya Later"...

Ali Heckem

So, previously I posted that we needed to get an appointment at the British Consulate, and as I said, it's easier said than done! SO, on the recommendation of Mike's co-worker, Rachel, who is also going to London, we hired a gentleman named Ali Azeez or something like that, Mike is affectionately calling him Ali Heckem, like from the hit musical Oklahoma!. So, Mike had to meet Ali Heckham on a street corner in Manhattan at a FedEx Kinkos. Here, Mike forked over all of our personal information--Passports, birth certificates, marriage license, name, rank, serial number...EVERYTHING to Ali Heckem...All in all, it turned out well, and the two of us are sitting pretty with our Entry Clearances! Ali Heckem pulled through, even though he was the sketchiest man on the face of the earth!

We're Really Going!!!

Who would've thought that when Mike asked if I would be interested in doing an International tour, and I said yes, that we'd be going to London. Quite frankly, I never really suspected that it would come to fruition. I thought it was going to be one of those things that you say, "Yeah, yeah, yeah...We'll go" and then you never go. Today it was official...Mike got his work visa, so, that means, that I got my work visa! Not that I have actual WORK, but I have my visa! Next stop...The British Consulate to get our entry clearance! Which sounds a bit easier than it actually is. The first step is getting an appointment...
